Paella Cooking Class Details
Learn how to cook the perfect paella during this activity, which contains all the ingredients of an amazing team-building event: namely food, drink, culture and good times.
With a little help from a professional local chef, your team will learn the secrets of Spain’s most social dish, and how to ensure the rice soaks up every last bit of flavour from the market-fresh ingredients you’ll be working with. You’ll know you’ve got it right if you crisp the rice at the bottom of the pan just a fraction, for that delicious bottom layer known as socarrat.
Depending on the size of your team, you can add a competitive element to the meal, by having the instructor judge who has made the best paella at the end of the activity. You can also choose whether to make the classic seafood paella or else vegetarian paellas, or a mix of each.
The activity includes wine pairing of local Catalan and Spanish wines, plus soft drinks, and is a great option to do instead of a restaurant dinner one evening or lunchtime (participants will be well fed by the paella, and additional snacks).
Prices & Options
The price for the Paella Cooking Class is just €88 a person, with everything included, and takes place in one of our modern kitchens in the city centre. These kitchens fit up to 50 people.
For groups of over 50 people we can offer two stunning venues:
- An umber-bricked former textile factory that fits up to 150 people (supplement €2600).
- A fairytale Cuban-style castle in the forest that fits up to 250 people (supplement €4700).
The activity price remains €88 per person for larger groups, but there’s a venue hire supplement (given in brackets). You can see photos of the castle below.
