Sailing Regatta Details
During this challenging activity, you and your colleagues will split up into small teams and race one another on the Mediterranean sea in fast-paced J80 racing yachts.
The activity requires teamwork, quick brains and fast hands, as you compete using just the power of the breeze. Each boat is skippered by an experienced captain of the Barcelona yacht club, while a motivational speech at the beginning of the activity includes sailing instructions, safety briefing, regatta rules and weather insights.
With a committee boat, racetrack buoys and event referee the activity has the glamour and feel of an official sporting regatta, and participants should feel the thrill of competitors in the America Cup, before making it to dry land for Champagne and winners’ medals.
Prices & Options
The Sailing Regatta can be done as a 3-hr morning or afternoon activity, with price per head of €175
Or it can be done as a full day activity (8hrs) with morning practice sessions and afternoon races, with a full debriefing afterwards, for €200 per person.
The competitive element can also be removed to become a relaxed sailing cruise in small and medium yachts.
Good To Know…
No sailing experience is required for the activity, as the regatta includes basic sailing instruction and safety briefing. Participants are given lifejackets and can expect to get wet from ocean spray. There are changing rooms and lockers at the Port Olimpic, where the activity takes place.
